THE AGE OF STUPID ANALYSIS
1. Identify the person/people that I am most connected with. Explain why? The people that I felt I was most connected with was the two siblings, Jamila and Adnan. The kids had been through a lot at such young age it makes me want to get to know more about them. Their story starts off with them fleeing the war from Iraq and crossing the border of Jordan, has been living there since. Their dad was shot to death during the war and their brother was deported back to Iraq injured. At such young age they're able to make money by buying used shoes, fixing them, and selling them back. They're able to tell their story in a brave and mature way considering their age. By watching them telling their story makes me feel bad for them and the things they've been through. It makes me feel so privileged in the things that I have and the things the I took for granted. This kids are example of you never know when someone is going through something even if they put a huge smile on their faces. 2. List two things that you would propose as ways to mitigate the climate crisis presented. Invest in renewable energy sources, such as a wind turbine, solar panels, etc. This will reduce our dependency of fossil fuels and reduce our greenhouse gas emission. 3. Why didn't we save ourselves when we had the chance? In my opinion we didn't save ourselves when we had the chance because we chose to ignore. I think that we chose to ignore because it is not affecting us in the moment. We were too busy thinking about something else when the problem that needed to be fixed is right in front of us. But when we do take action, it's a short term action. It becomes a trend now but later people forget. |
